Hello, everyone! Welcome to Part 6 of my "1,000-Sentence Journey." Today, we’re moving away from formal meetings and into the streets of Korea. Sometimes, the most powerful communication happens in just two or three words.
Part 1: Basic Requests & Navigation (Quick & Easy)
이거 얼마예요? (Igeo eolmayeyo?) - How much is this?
어디예요? (Eodiyeyo?) - Where is it?
가주세요. (Gajuseyo.) - Please go (to...).
세워주세요. (Sewojuseyo.) - Please stop here.
여기요. (Yeogiyo.) - Excuse me / Here please.
저거 주세요. (Jeogeo juseyo.) - Give me that one.
메뉴판 주세요. (Menupan juseyo.) - Menu, please.
화장실 어디예요? (Hwajangsil eodiyeyo?) - Where is the restroom?
직진하세요. (Jikjinhaseyo.) - Go straight.
좌회전/우회전. (Jwahoejeon/Uhoejeon.) - Turn left/right.
천천히 말해주세요. (Cheoncheonhi malhaejuseyo.) - Speak slowly, please.
이거 뭐예요? (Igeo mwoyeyo?) - What is this?
감사합니다. (Gamsahamnida.) - Thank you.
잠시만요. (Jamsimanyo.) - Just a moment.
괜찮아요. (Gwaenchanayo.) - It's okay.
Part 2: Dining & Social Interaction (The Essentials)
맛있어요. (Masisseoyo.) - It's delicious.
물 주세요. (Mul juseyo.) - Water, please.
계산할게요. (Gyesanhalgeyo.) - I'll pay.
포장해주세요. (Pojanghaejuseyo.) - Takeout, please.
맵지 않게. (Maepji anke.) - Not spicy, please.
더 주세요. (Deo juseyo.) - More, please.
정말 좋아요. (Jeongmal joayo.) - Really good.
만나서 반가워요. (Mannaseo bangawoyo.) - Nice to meet you.
축하해요. (Chukhahaeyo.) - Congratulations.
힘내세요. (Himnaeseyo.) - Cheer up.
같이 먹어요. (Gachi meogeoyo.) - Let's eat together.
연락할게요. (Yeollakhalgeyo.) - I'll keep in touch.
조금만요. (Jogeummanyo.) - Just a little.
또 만나요. (Tto mannayo.) - See you again.
잘 먹겠습니다. (Jal meokgessseumnida.) - I'll enjoy the meal.

예뻐요. (Yeoppeoyo.) - It's pretty.

진짜요? (Jinjayo?) - Really?
대박! (Daebak!) - Awesome / Wow!
Part 3: Daily Life & Emergencies
도와주세요. (Dowajuseyo.) - Help me, please.
병원 가고 싶어요. (Byeongwon gago sipeoyo.) - I want to go to the hospital.
약국 어디예요? (Yakguk eodiyeyo?) - Where is the pharmacy?
환불할게요. (Hwanbulhalgeyo.) - I'd like a refund.
카드 되나요? (Kadeu doenayo?) - Can I use a card?
현금 없어요. (Hyeongeum eopseoyo.) - I have no cash.
너무 비싸요. (Neomu bissayo.) - It's too expensive.
싸게 해주세요. (Ssage haejuseyo.) - Give me a discount.
날씨 좋네요. (Nalssi jonneyo.) - The weather is nice.
오늘 며칠이에요? (Oneul myeochirieyo?) - What is the date today?
지금 몇 시예요? (Jigeum myeot siyeyo?) - What time is it?
한국어 못해요. (Hangugeo mothaeyo.) - I can't speak Korean.
이해 못 했어요. (Ihae mot haesseoyo.) - I didn't understand.
잘 모르겠어요. (Jal moreugesseoyo.) - I'm not sure.
행복하세요. (Haengbokhaseyo.) - Be happy.
